Use this to trace the pattern on to fabric, a video showing the technique is linked at the bottom of this page.

Pattern
Trace the pattern on to the fabric.
De-ann’s method is included on a video on her YouTube channel.

Fabric
The fabric used: 100% white cotton.

Backing Fabric
A second layer of white cotton fabric was used to add substance to the top layer of fabric. It also helps the embroidery thread at the back of the work from showing through.

Note: trace the pattern on to a single layer of fabric. Then add the backing fabric.

Hoop Size
Six – seven inches.

Thread
Use 1-2 strands of stranded cotton embroidery thread.
Needles used – Milward Sharp No. 4 and Hemline Embroidery/Crewel Gold Eye needle size 5.

Note: satin stitches or small straight stitches can be used instead of French knots if preferred.
