Pearl Cuff Wrist Warmers

Make these pearl encrusted wrist warmers. The pattern is easy. The warmers are knitted with straight needles entirely in garter stitch. The baby Aran yarn creates a firm and cosy texture.

Pearl Cuff Wrist Warmer 1

You will need:

White baby Aran yarn.
Knitting needles size 4.5mm (UK 7. US 7).
Pearl beads to decorate.

Method:

Cast on 40 stitches.
Knit rows of garter stitch (knit stitches, no purl) until the work measures 7 inches (18cm).
Bind off.

With right sides together fold the rectangle in two lengthways so that the garter stitches run the length of the wrist warmer.
Use yarn to stitch the side seam leaving a gap for the thumb. Do this by sewing 4 inches (10cm) from the bottom of the wrist warmer and up the side of the warmer. Leave a gap. Then sew 1 1/4 inches (3cm) from the top down.

Pearl Cuff Wrist Warmer 2

Turn the wrist warmer right sides out.

Make two of these.

Fold over a 3 inch (7.5cm) cuff.
Stitch pearl beads on to the cuff to decorate.
(Optional: Sew one of the appliqués on to the wrist warmer. Here I’ve added the Confetti Cake appliqué. This of course is optional. The pearl wrist warmer works equally well with just the pearls).
