The knitted flower is attached to a ribbon and can be worn as a wrist corsage or as a belt.
The ribbon used for this is 40 inches (102cm) long and 1 inch (2.5cm) wide, but you can vary the length to suit.
The flower measures approximately 3 inches (7.5cm) x 3 inches (7.5cm).
You will need:
A knitting dolly (used to knit the yarn into a cord).
Blue double knit yarn.
Blue diamante.
Blue pearl effect beads.
Blue thread.
Blue ribbon.
Method:
Use the knitting dolly to knit a cord with the blue yarn.
Knit until the cord measures 21 inches (53.5cm).
Bind off.
Shape the cord into flower petals and sew them secure in the centre using blue yarn.
Sew diamante and beads on the flower to decorate. Use blue thread.
Sew the flower on to the middle of the ribbon.
Sew the ends of the ribbon to prevent fraying or use fabric sealer.
