Festive and bright with Christmas cheer, this little jumper appliqué measures approximately 3 inches (8cm) wide and 2 1/4 inches (6cm) high.
Metallic red yarn.
2 piece of red felt 4 inches (10cm) x 4 inches (10cm).
Red thread.
Shiny red, green, silver and gold beads.
Jumper template. (Templates for the brooch/appliqué designs are also included here as a pdf document. When printed on to an A4 sheet of paper all of the patterns are the correct size).
Method:
Use the jumper template to draw the outline of the pattern on to one of the pieces of red felt.
Trim around the edges of the jumper, cutting away the excess felt.
Cut the other piece of red felt to fit (same size as the front). Sew this on to the back of the appliqué. Sew around the edges of the jumper with metallic red yarn. Use small satin stitches or similar embroidery stitches.
Sew the beads on.
The appliqué is ready to use.
