Knit an easy to make pair of cosy slippers. They’ve got quite a bit of stretch in them, but if you want a larger or smaller pair simply increase or decrease the stitches. They fit an average adult size 4 to size 10.
You will need:
1 100g ball of double knit yarn.
Knitting needles size 4.5mm (UK 7. US 7).
Method:
Cast on 60 stitches.
Knit two plain, two purl (rib stitch) until the slipper measures 10 inches (26cm).
Bind off.
Knit two of these.
Sew the seams:
With right sides together, use yarn to sew the seams together.
Sew a running stitch along the top front of the slipper 3.5 inches (9cm) from the side to the top of the foot to shape the slipper front.
Sew a pom pom on.
The slippers are ready to wear, but you can add a running stitch around the edges to create a firmer fit, or use a ribbon to tie the slippers.
