The Teacup appliqué is highlighted with sparkling pink yarn and pink diamante. It measures approximately 2 1/4 inches (6cm) wide and 2 inches (5cm) high.
You will need:
Metallic pink yarn.
2 piece of pale pink felt 3 inches (7.5cm) x 3 inches (7.5cm).
Pale pink thread.
Pink diamante and clear diamante.
Teacup template. (Templates for the brooch/appliqué designs are also included here as a pdf document. When printed on to an A4 sheet of paper all of the patterns are the correct size).
Method:
Use the teacup template to draw the outline of the pattern on to one of the pieces of pink felt. Sew around the outline with the pink yarn. Use small back stitches or similar embroidery stitches.
Sew the diamante on.
Trim around the edges of the teacup cutting away the excess felt. (Leave a small edging of felt).
Cut the other piece of pink felt to fit (same size as the front). Sew this on to the back of the appliqué. Use small stitches near the edges of the felt.
The appliqué is ready to use. Add it to clothes or accessories.
